Islamic Intellectuals Front condemns Women’s Commission’s recommendation

The Islamic Intellectuals Front has strongly condemned and protested against the recommendations of the Women’s Affairs Reform Commission, calling them “anti-Holy Quran, Islam and Sharia.” The organization issued this condemnation and protest in a statement on Wednesday (April 24).

Syed Abdul Hannan Al Hadi, convener of the Islamic Intellectuals Front, said, “Most of the recommendations are against the Holy Quran, Islam, Muslims and Sharia. Such proposals are possible only by atheists and apostates. By eating the salt of the West and making anti-Quran proposals, the faith and creed of a large number of Muslims have been hurt. This women’s commission must be abolished immediately.”

Syed Abdul Hannan Al Hadi also said that for many years, family law in Bangladesh has been based on religion. Not only in Bangladesh but in most countries, including India, the basis of family law is religion. Because, families are formed according to religion in all countries and civilizations. There is no such complaint against it. But this commission has tried to provoke public anger by proposing to change the basis of family law. We fear that the members of the women’s commission may have been influenced by India and made such proposals to discredit the post-revolutionary government and damage the public support they have.”
