Allegations of framing with country-made weapons; demand for arrest of conspirators
There have been allegations of framing Rasmoy Biswas, Pritam Biswas and Debrot Biswas in a planned manner by keeping country-made weapons and bomb-like objects in a wooden house in Mathbati village of Paikgachha upazila of Khulna. A human chain was held to protest this incident and demand the release of the people who were framed.
The human chain was organized by local residents in the Notun Bazar area of Gadaipur union of the upazila on Sunday afternoon. Maulana SM Aminul Islam, a member of the Khulna district Jamaat-e-Islami working committee, presided over the human chain. He said, “Innocent people have been framed in a conspiratorial manner, creating unrest in their social and family lives. We demand a fair investigation into this incident and exemplary punishment for those responsible.”
Hundreds of men and women from the area, including Rasmoy Biswas’ wife, participated in the human chain. They demanded the immediate arrest of the main conspirator Dilip Biswas and his associates and bring them to justice.
The speakers in the human chain said that the accused including Rasmoy Biswas are respectable and innocent people of the area. They were framed in a false case with weapons and bombs in a pre-planned manner regarding the issue of encroachment on the enclosure. They commented that such a conspiracy is threatening the safety of the common people.
The human chain called on the administration to conduct a fair investigation and said that if the real culprits are not identified and brought to justice, the movement will be further strengthened.
