Contract with Indian director; Attempt to make Bangladeshi actress controversial
Bangladeshi TV actress Tanjin Tisha has recently opened up about the false information and rumors circulating on social media regarding her contract in Indian director MN Raj’s film ‘Bhalobasar Morshum’. In an official statement, Tisha has claimed that the matter is completely false and fabricated.
Tisha said in her statement that according to the contract, all the responsibilities related to her foreign travel, such as visa, flight tickets and all the responsibilities of accommodation and food there, were the director and producer.
But unfortunately, the director and the production company could not get her visa. The actress herself also failed to complete the visa process despite her personal efforts. Since the visa-related complications were the director’s responsibility according to the contract, Tisha believes that she is not legally responsible for this failure. This is a direct failure of the director.
She added that after waiting for two months for a visa, when it did not arrive, the production company signed another actress to play her role. As a result, she was forced to withdraw from the project and later signed a new film in Bangladesh, the shooting of which is currently underway.
Tisha said, “A movie is a place of my professional honor. I never wanted to ruin it. But since the director could not start work as per the schedule due to his failure and signed a new person, I was forced to step down.”
“But now the line producer Sharif is telling me to return one-third of the money, and again telling my lawyer that I have to return some of the money, and again he is trying to extort money by damaging my career by giving false information to journalists, which is just an evil attempt.”
In his words, “The contract signed with me, there is no clause that I have to return the money if there is any problem due to the director’s fault. I have always been a person who respects the law, if they can prove in the court of law that I am obliged to return the money and the court gives such an instruction, then I will definitely accept it and return the money.”
