Two Juba League-Chatra League leaders shot dead in Lakshmipur

Two leaders of Jubo League and Chhatra League were killed in firing by terrorists in Lakshmipur, Bangladesh. They are the former General Secretary of District Jubo League Abdullah Al Noman (35) and the former Organizing Secretary of District Chhatra League Rakib Imam.

The incident took place in the Nagerhat area of Bashikpur Union of Sadar Upazila around 10:15 PM on Tuesday (April 25). Jubo League leader Noman and Chhatra League leader Rakib were taken to District Headquarters Hospital in the condition of bullet wounds.

Noman was declared dead by the doctor on duty after being taken to the hospital. And Chhatra League leader Rakib was sent to Dhaka Medical College (DMH) Hospital in a serious condition. He died on the way to Dhaka around 11:30 pm. Later his body was also taken to District Hospital.

The former president of Laxmipur District Jubo League and chairman of Sadar Upazila AKM Salah Uddin Tipu confirmed this information around 12:15 am.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandraganj Police Station Tahidul Islam said that the police visited the spot after receiving the information. No one could be arrested in this incident. We are working seriously.
