Prime culprit of Cumilla violence Iqbal Hossain was arrested in Cox’s Bazar Thursday night.
The main perpetrator placing the Holy Quran at a Durga Puja mandap in Cumilla city was identified scrutinising security camera footagefootage.
Law enforcers arrested him by launching a massive hunt.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Thursday suspected that the youth has done such an evil act after being influenced by a vested quarter as part of a deep-rooted conspiracy to spread communal violence in the country.
“Everything will be clear after the culprit is arrested,” he said while talking to reporters after a meeting of the National Committee on Coordination, Management and Law Enforcement of Displaced Myanmar Citizens (Rohingyas) at the Secretariat.
