South Korea starts COVID-19 vaccination for foreign residents aged 18 to 49

South Korea started registration process for COVID-19 vaccination of foreign residents aged 18 to 49 on Monday.

The registration process will continue till August 18, according to South Korean government.

Earlier, South Korea kicked off its nationwide immunization campaign on February 26.

However, South Korea’s health minister on Sunday apologised for Covid-19 vaccine shortages, saying US drugmaker Moderna Inc would deliver less than half its planned shipment this month due to production issues.

Suffering a fourth wave of infections, South Korea has posted record numbers of new cases in recent weeks, while its inoculation campaign has been dogged by vaccine shortages and shipment delays.
