Band Burning Democracy
Dhaka based band Burning Democracy is a Thrash Metal act formed in mid 2012.
Burning Democracy reflects the imagery of a revolution,one against all unjust & immortal actions of the tyrants in rule and the offenders of the throne.
They acronym,BD stands to represent Bangladesh herself, as the womb of rebels in Southern Asia.
They became runner ups of the third contest of local Battle of the bands initiative titled “King of the Ring” within 13 months of the band’s age & within the second year of formation, got selected as one of the two young bloods worthy of sharing the same stage as local Thrash Metal giant Powersurge & Death/Thrash preacher Orator.
They even got short listed in top 30 from a vast number of candidates in a campaign entitled “Rock hunt” arranged by prominent local artist promotion company “Livesqaure” but failed to appear for audition because one of the member’s father’s unwell being.
They have done 7 shows,among which in fine of them,they shared the stage with prominent local metal bands. By the end of 2014, BD already had three originals appreciated by local audience.
They have since been silent and has been resurrected by the ones who buried BD once.Recent, they have released debut single “Warmonger” by online platform! They are doing work for upcoming EP.
Their “Warmonger” song has selected for an upcoming international band mixed album!
