New Appointed CAP President Dr. Saiful and secretary Farzana
Dr. Saiful Islam Musa has been elected as the new President and Farzana Adnan as the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Cancer Awareness Program for Women (CAP).
According to organization sources, the decision was announced at an online meeting of the organization’s volunteers, chaired by former CAP president Musa Karim Ripon, at 9pm on Friday.
Former Central Treasurer Abdullah Al Mahadi, Central Committee member Naeem Ahmed, Keya Biswas, former Dhaka Zone Organizing Secretary Chandana Roy, Kushtia Zone President Riyadus Salehin and other members were present on the occasion.
A five-member central committee has been formed with Dr Saiful Islam Musa as central president and Farzana Adnan as general secretary.
The committee nominates Azam Akon as central treasurer, Salman Shahadat as planning and organizing secretary and Mohamed Yasser Arafat as communications secretary.
In this regard, Dr. Saiful Islam Musa, the new president of CAP, said, “We have been working on maternal cancer awareness across the country for a long time.
According to the organization, the members of the new committee are all students from different educational institutions who have been associated with the CAP for a long time through cancer awareness activities. CAP co-founder and newly appointed president. Saiful Islam Musa has completed BHMS from Government Homoeopathic Medical College (Mirpur, Dhaka) under the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka.
At the same time he has just completed an MPH degree in public health from North South University. General Secretary Farzana Adnan graduated from the Department of Economics of the Islamic University and is currently pursuing her postgraduate studies. Treasurer Azam Akon is studying BHMS third year in Government Homoeopathic Medical College (Mirpur, Dhaka).
Salman Shahadat, former president of Kushtia Zone and current planning and organizing secretary of the central committee, is studying for a master’s degree in economics at Islamic University.
Yasser Arafat, the organisation’s communications secretary, is a fourth-year student at Dhaka University’s Department of International Relations..
CAP, a women’s cancer awareness organization, started its journey in 2015 from the Islamic University (Kushtia). The organization is currently working with women in different parts of the country to raise awareness about breast and cervical cancer.
