73 years old Raushan got first class first result in MBA exam

A 73 years old man in Pabna has made a name for himself by becoming first class in the final examination of MBA. His name is Raushan Ali. He took this degree from Pabna University of Science and Technology.

Raushan Ali is a school teacher by profession. He retired in 2006. A decade later, he was admitted to the MBA evening course at Pabna University of Science and Technology. In the final examination, he passed with a CGPA of 3.50. He was the first in that batch.

Raushan Ali is a resident of Bannaipara village in Chartarapur union of Pabna Sadar upazila. He was born in 1948. He passed SSC in Science from Sujanagar Pilot Model High School (now Government) and HSC from Pabna Government Shaheed Bulbul College. He was not educated then due to worldly reasons. However, he had an indomitable desire to study.

In 1982, he joined Shaheed Dulal Pilot Girls’ High School in Sujanagar as an assistant teacher. A few years after starting teaching, Raushan graduated from Government Edward College as a private examinee. After that, despite the desire, the busyness of the career and the problem did not become studied. He retired from teaching in December 2006.

But a regret of not being able to do masters was working in him. Later, he was admitted to Pabna University of Science and Technology for the MBA evening course in the 2017-18 academic year. Test results were released recently. He got CGPA 3.50 and became first class first.

Raushan Ali has two sons. The eldest son graduated from Rajshahi University and is working as an assistant professor in a college in Pabna. The youngest son is in the medical profession.

Amirul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business Education, Pabna University of Science and Technology, said Raushan’s master’s degree at this age is a role model.
