6 additional IGP’s have been promoted from DIG

The Home Ministry has promoted six DIG officers to the rank of Additional IGP (Grade-II). The promotion order was issued in a circular signed by Dhananjay Kumar Das, deputy secretary of the police branch-1 of the public security department at the home ministry on Monday.

According to the notification, DIG of Police Headquarters Mohammad Ibrahim Fatemi and SM Ruhul Amin, DIG of Highway Police Mallick Fakhrul Islam, DIG of Anti-Terrorism Unit Md. Kamrul Ahsan, Bangladesh Police Academy Rajshahi Sardar DIG Khandaker Golam Farooq and Special Branch (SB) DIG. Mazharul Islam has been promoted to the post of Additional IGP.
