Madrasa student undergoes surgery

The female madrasa student, Nusrat Jahan Rafi, who was set on fire at Sonagazi Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasa exam center in Feni, underwent a surgery on Tuesday.
Her operation started at around 10:00 am and ended at 12:30 pm. Director of Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute Professor Dr Mohammad Abul Kalam said, “She was suffering from breathing problems. Operation was done so that she can breathe normally.”
“Earlier, the board took a decision to perform a surgery on her. Physicians of Singapore also agreed in this reagrd. The surgery was performed following the decision of both sides. She is now feeling better. Still, she is on life support at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital,” Abul Kalam also said.
