BANGLADESH DNCC market catches fire
A massive fire broke out at DCC market in Gulshan area of the city early Tuesday.
The fire originated from the DCC kitchen market around 2:30am and later engulfed the whole market, said Bhaojon Kumar Sarker, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) control room.
Twenty units of firefighters are trying to douse the fire, he added while talking to reporters around 8:10am.
Around 100 shops were burnt down and a small portion of the two-storey market collapsed following the fire.
The cause of fire and further details of the incident could not be known immediately.
