Killer of Risha arrested
The killer of Suraiya Akter Risha, a student of Willes Little Flower School, has been arrested from Nilphamari this morning.
The arrestee is Obaidul Khan, 29, son of late Abdus Samad of Miratongi village of Birganj upazila in Dinajpur.
Dulan Miah, operation officer of Rab-13, said they have tracked Obaidul down from Nilphamari district on Tuesday night.
Earlier on Monday, police arrested a sister and brother-in-law of Obaidul from Niratongi village in Birganj upazila of Dinajpur.
Details about the drive will be disclosed at a press briefing at about 11.00am, said the ASP.
Risha, 14, a class-VIII student of the school, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital yesterday, four days after she was stabbed allegedly by a stalker named Obaidul, 29, in front of the institution at Kakrail in Dhaka.
Obaidul waylaid Risha on her way back from the school and tried to talk to her the day before he stabbed her on the Kakrail footbridge near the school.
