GP files defamation case against Jugantor, Jamuna TV
Mobile phone operator Grameen Phone on Monday filed a defamation case against Bengali daily Jugantor and television channel Jamuna TV seeking Tk 200 crore compensation for publishing and airing news with ‘false’ and ‘fabricated’ information about the company.
The case was filed with first Dhaka district judge’s court.
According to the case, the two media houses published and aired ‘false’ and ‘fabricated’ news defaming the company on September 16 to September 22.
